Careers 2032 kicks off in Bristol and Manchester

December 2, 2021

You might have seen our announcement that, together with AGCAS, WonkHE and the ISE, Handshake is working on a new study to imagine what graduate recruitment might look like in ten years. Launching in February 2022, Careers 2032 will consider the role HE institutions, employers and students will play in the landscape, with Careers Services as the lynchpin of success.

The first step in our joint endeavour is to gather expert insights at exclusive roundtable events across the country, and this week has seen us kick off the series with student, employer and Careers Services events in Bristol and Manchester.

With key themes discussed under “Chatham House rules”, where contributions will be anonymised, these valuable discussions will form the qualitative part of the research paper, and will be supplemented by surveys among students, employers and HE career professionals.

We’re so excited to see how this paper is shaping up, and are already enjoying some lively, insightful and groundbreaking discussions. Our series continues next week in Birmingham and Edinburgh, and will culminate with events in London.

Look out over the next weeks and months, there’s plenty to come as we look at the future of the industry.
